Marmon Employee Matching Gift Program

Program Criteria:
  • To be considered, your request must include your organization’s Form W-9.
  • Charity Employer Identification Number (EIN) must be provided. You may search for your chosen charity’s EIN on the Charity Navigator website.
  • Tax-exempt status under section 501(c)(3) of the U. S. Internal Revenue Code
  • Educates, conducts cultural or civic activities OR serves the health and social needs of the community
  • Public and private colleges and universities, as well as private elementary schools and private high schools are eligible if the contribution is donated to the school for educational purposes only.
  • *Faith-based organizations may qualify for matching contributions provided the funds are used exclusively for humanitarian purposes (such as food banks, housing for the homeless, disaster relief, etc.) and such humanitarian aid is provided without regard to religious affiliation. To qualify for a matching contribution to such an organization, the employee’s donation must specify the humanitarian purpose and the recipient organization must verify the use of the funds.
Funding Not Approved:
  • Subscriptions, fees, dues, memberships, tickets, tuition, in-kind contributions, silent auctions, raffle tickets, and payments for services
  • Political parties and candidates
  • Groups that promote or endorse a political party or candidate
  • Places of worship and other religious institutions* (see asterisk in Program Criteria)
  • Educational institutions, such as seminaries, that prepare individuals to support a religious faith (such as clerics, ministers, priests, rabbis, reverends, etc.)
  • Fraternal organizations
  • Fraternities and sororities
  • In any year in which the Company contributes directly to the United Way, or matches employee donations through an annual campaign, employee contributions to the United Way will not be included in the Program.
Limitation to Gift:
  • Any gift made to one or more qualified institutions by a full-time employee of the Company of at least $25 USD but not exceeding a total per individual of $4,000 USD in each calendar year will be matched by the Company.
